Install Granite Tile over your existing formica countertops.
Remove sink and screw 1/4" DensShield, water-resistant backerboard over formica. Prepare your layout. Install tile. Grout and Clean. Wait 3 days, and apply a coat of sealer.

I do like the granite tile with little or no grout line . But I am feeling like we are all on a granite over load . As a realtor/ Broker and also an IDS interior Designer . I am wanting something at bit out of the box but still not so wacky that on resale it would hurt. I am really liking soapstone or soapstone tile . Its has a great look and a lot more forgiving then granite. The only draw back right now its pretty much found in the north east . I hope the rest for the country will start making at least the tile avail . So I don't have to pay shipping .
